This is everything it needs to be! Just a short ode to an era, and also summing up the recent synthwave/retrowave music scene which throws back to the nostalgic 80's when the original book was released. Like the music genre this short piece from Carpenter leaves everything to the imagination giving you just enough to create your own world based on just a couple of shots on screen and the small elements the music provides is just enough giving the perfect nod to the book and the perfect 80's horror genre with a modern look. Would love to see Christine re-made with a score from the current retrowave music scene

Music is fine, video is boring

Warning: Spoilers
Here we have a 4.5-minute music short film directed by the legendary Carpenter and you could say it is a music video that goes with his film "Christine". For almost the entire thing we see a young woman (played by actress Rita Volk) and a pretty stylish automobile next to her with the suspense being here the extent to which the car really has a life of its own. That's all there is to it, but it quickly gets interesting. the sound track is fairly smooth luckily and fun to listent o for the most part. As a consequence I must say, I cannot really come up with a reason why you should not just listen to the record instead of watching the video. Or maybe you just need to be a big car lover, or even better a big fan of the film "Christine" to appreciate the outcome here. For all I care, there was no real need to make this one as the film is far from forgotten also without these slightly under five minutes. Skip it.
