Of note is that Lee Neville had played both the roles of Jeremiah Spencer and Lord Northcliffe in the stage play, but only reprises the role of Jeremiah Spencer in the film version, as the character of Lord Northcliffe has been omitted from the film version. In addition, Connor J. Matthews who played Tom Clarke in the stage play, now plays Michael Scott in the film version, and the character of Tom Clarke has been omitted from the film version. And the role of Madeleine Drapper who was originally played by Beatrice Maud Drapper actress Julia Quayle in the stage play, is now played by Sara Al Ghanem. She had previously played the character of Nellie Otton in the stage play, but this character has been omitted from the film version.
