The main purpose of this episode is to further the story with Steve and DJ. Everything else is in the backdrop.
So the episode opens up with a meeting about the wedding followed by Fernando singing "Livin' La Vida Loca." I loved this scene. And Fernando surprisingly has a good voice. Next is "Summer Nights" from Grease with Steve and DJ singing leads. It mirrors their relationship. I just had to get this opening out of the way. It was both fun and important. Later, DJ comes and helps Steve pick out CJ's wedding dress. This brings hope that there is still a chance they will get back together. Move over, CJ!
Subplot 1: Rocki spends the night in the Fuller house and is super grumpy about the abundance of positivity and cuteness. Subplot 2: Stephanie's song makes it into a horror movie. When she is uninvited to a red carpet premiere, the family makes one for her. Then she sees that her song is in the movie for only about two seconds. I enjoyed both of these.
Team Steve seems to now be getting the edge. Yay!
