Production of the short film was scheduled to begin in May 2017 at the Cap-Saint-Jacques Nature Park, in the west of the Island of Montreal, just as the devastating 2017 Quebec spring floods hit the area. With many roads and riversides, including some within the Nature Park itself, either flooded or closed, the film's outcome appeared frightfully uncertain, as the first day of shooting was drawing near. Fortunately, with a skillful logistic plan, avoiding inaccessible ways, as well as a wisely-chosen shooting location at the Park, farther from the banks of the Rivière des Prairies, the production went on with hardly any trouble.
The film, whose working title was "Project Morgan Arboretum", was originally planned to be shot in the forested reserve of the same name, at the MacDonald Campus of McGill University in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, in the West Island of Montreal. Ultimately, it went on to be shot at the scenic Cap-Saint-Jacques Nature Park in nearby Pierrefonds.
