Yes and Oh No . . .

Warning: Spoilers
I liked the "find" by Upton about McGrady; Yes to Hailey as part of the team.

That last w/ Ruzek, oh No, they have to find some corruptness for just about everyone, don't they. I like the character, I'd take jaded and more mature, but not corrupt. Can't stand the woods character from the git go and esp. how the actor plays him --> Mr. Hesitation before and on every line of dialog. Grrrr.

Sigh

Warning: Spoilers
Man, these cops have the worst luck with their families! Erin and Bunny, Hank and Justin, Kevin and Jordan, Natalie and Nicole, Alvin and Lexi. Even Antonio, since Diego was kidnapped and his marriage imploded.

Now it's Ruzek's sister causing him to do something stupid and land on Woods' hook.

As I said in a previous review, "Fire" uses this leverage against a character/vendetta trope too much, now "PD" is too.

I do like Upton so far, think she"s a good replacement for Lindsay.

Are they all corrupt?

Warning: Spoilers
We've always know that Hank was no boy scout. In this episode he adds another notch on that score.

We've already lost my character favorite in Lindsay when she crosses the line even though she sort of lands on her feet. But she is still lost to the world of Chicago PD almost as if she were dead.

Now we are adding more players to the list of for whom the ends justify the means regardless of rules or laws. Plus a mole.

I've always hated the witch hunt trope and this season has been a constant diet of that.

Since I'm watching this in reruns while also taking in the newest episodes, I have some general ideas of things to come. And it also seems that some of the greater excesses have been somewhat dormant for a while at least, so I'm hopeful that I can ride through some unpleasantness, but I'm not confident.
