This independent team of filmmakers have managed to create a very accessible and enjoyable film. Despite it's long running time, it's no longer than many others from the 1960's to 1980's, and seems to take cues from the 1980's where many cult fantasy films were born.
It follows 3 main characters and their very different desires for the same object. Various fringe characters interact with the others.
The lighting and photography is almost easy to overlook as it is so carefully thought out, it barely stands out. This lets the characters and storyline shine. The same can be said of the music. If you remind yourself to concentrate on it, the music carries it's weight as a standalone artistic piece.
The plot is easy to follow, yet is exciting enough after a slow start. I won't reveal any plot twists, but just say "have you heard of it?"
