AAAARRRRGGHHHH
ilklucg2341 August 2018
It took me a long time to come to this point, but Clarke officially annoys the living daylights out of me. Enough is enough. I get why she is protective, but there is a line. And she crossed it tenfold.

The war itself is pretty intense. It is hard to see people fighting each other when you don't 100% know who to root for, though compared to the rest of the season, choosing sides on this one is a bit easier.

However, there were a lot of shocking but also emotional moments, that make this episode more than worth watching, proving once more that season 5 might just deserve to be considered the best season of The 100 yet.

"My brother, my responsibility."
Splarke221 August 2018
Warning: Spoilers
What an incredible episode to kick off the two-part finale! 5x12 features some phenomenal acting from just about everyone in the cast. SO much happened this episode but the two scenes that stood out to me the most were the beginning & ending. Wonkru getting slaughtered, followed by Bellamy & Octavia being blasted into the air was a badass way to start out the episode. As for the ending, I loved how Octavia's line mirrored Bellamy's from earlier this season. Marie Avgeropoulos did such a great job in the scene, that I genuinely thought we were about to lose Octavia. Also, Murphy only had a few scenes, but he killed it too. Him & his big gun were still a better love story than Becho..

10/10 episode easily! Part 2 is bound to feature some HUGE deaths & moments, not sure if I'm ready!!

Wonkru is Broken
Anonnamus28 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Kickoff to the season finale has begun, and it's a nail biter. Watching Wonkru get picked off one by one was intense. We are finally wrapping up what has been a strange season. I suck at reviews so I just post a list of random thoughts while I watched the episode. Fair warning, if you're a Clarke fan, stop reading now.

  • WTF, Kane? You did what I swore you'd never do. You let Wonkru get attacked. This battle is epic, quite possibly the best I've seen since the series debut. Maybe it's the fancy weapons that Wonkru really has no chance against. Without hand-to-hand combat, most of them are lost. They may as well be carrying BB guns for all the good they do against sonic blasters.
  • Shut up, McCreary.
  • Shut up, Kane.
  • Shut up, Abby.
  • Really shut up, Clarke. Good for you, Madi. Stand your ground. Maybe for once Clarke will see that she does NOT always make the right decisions. I couldn't be prouder of you for having the foresight to change the password.
  • Oh, shocker. Clarke forcefully imposing her will on someone else, regardless of what he or she may want. I liked you so much the first season. Again, I know I'm in the minority, but Clarke is not a great leader. But she's pretty and the first name credited on the show, so nothing is going to change. I better just get used to watching scenes like her electrocuting "her" child to ensure compliance.
  • Octavia has undergone the biggest change. She went from fearless badass to feared dictator with a rapidly disappearing conscience. Blaming her brother for their predicament is icing on the cake. You're the psycho who burned their food source and forced your people to fight. They either fight or die of starvation. I still love you, but I'm about over your temper tantrum and desperation to hold onto power.
  • Haha, Bellamy agrees with me.
  • Octavia. You're a smart girl. What is one machine gun going to do when you're like 20 miles away from the spotlight? Just gonna keep fighting with no chance so you don't look wrong? I feel like I'm watching a scene out of Monty Python. Tis just a flesh wound.
  • Echo is pretty awesome now. She has come a long way.
  • Clarke will get into bed with anyone as long as they can help her agenda. Pretty sure that Shaw might be a goner now because of her. Collateral damage follows her wherever she goes. She has now killed more innocent people than every other character on the show combined. Willing to kill every person she has ever befriended because she knows her mother and Madi are safe? She's a real hero.
  • I still don't understand the reason Kane and Diyoza helped McCreary. Diyoza knows them better than anyone. They could not have possibly ever thought they would accept surrender or agree to live in peace with Wonkru. I am confused as to what they really thought would happen.
  • Aww, Vinson. I had hoped you would stick around long enough to eat McCreary's neck. RIP. Kane better not be dead. He may have been sort of useless this past season, but I still love him.
  • Finally. Octavia snapped out of it and sees that she is the problem. If only everyone could figure that out *cough* Clarke *cough*. Thank you! Took you long enough.
  • You always cared. That's hilarious, Clarke. You care about no one but yourself and whomever you're hanging out with at the time.
  • And as usual, Clarke changes her mind at the last minute after the damage is done.
  • Who would've ever thought the heroes of the episode would be Echo, Emori, and Murphy, all led by a 12 year old girl?

I love that The 100 doesn't hold back. They're afraid of nothing. Cannibalism, killing children...nothing is off-limits and I love them for it. I haven't been crazy about the season's antagonists but I do feel like this could quite possibly be an epic finale. I guess I will find out. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that Kane, Raven, and Shaw make it out alive. As for Clarke, there are some things a person can't be forgiven for, and I can't help but she's committed most of them.

One of the best episodes ... EVER!
bellec-916563 August 2018
Warning: Spoilers
This episode had me biting my fingers like crazy.

I'm a bit over the Kane and Abby storyline but the rest of the story makes up for it.

Having Maddi convince Clarke channeling Lexa was such a powerful scene!

It just amazes me how everyone passes such huge judgement on Octavia. Every single character has pulled some effed up stuff at one point or another in this show: Clarke killing all the people on Mt Weather, Bellamy responsible for Lincoln's death, Kane trying to have Abby killed, Abby sending the 100 to the ground, Echo and all the crap she has done ... not one single innocent person. While Octavia is made out to be the most horrible person in all the world when she literally didn't have another choice (except for that part where she burned the food to make everyone march, she had a choice.). While her decision to kill the people who didn't want to be cannibals is messed up, it also made sense from a survival point of view. It was also so incredibly hard for her that it pushed her to be who she is now. Maddi put it so well when she said that Octavia carried that burden so the people wouldn't have to. And anyone with eyes can see how much pain she is in. Can we get some damn empathy for her please??

This was an outstanding episode! The 100 is back.

What a brilliant episode

Warning: Spoilers
This season have been so good, like everyone is in the danger zone right now and everyone could die. For me the best character of this episode was Clarke, madi, Octavia and echo and that is because all of those four made a good difference in this episode. And madi convincing Clarke through lexa is just great. 10/10

pariisaap30 August 2021
In the previous season jasper was annoying and now clarke . I really hate clarke but unfortunately i should tolerate this disgusting woman until the end of season 7 . A weak mother who just try to protect her child. Nothing is more annoying than this for a leader

I've never expect cane betray octavia.

Until now the only characters who have something to love are raven ,bellamy ,monty ,octavia ,john , echo and emori .

I was up and down with this episode... It was so intense! Anywho
Neptune1657 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Echo underestimates Clarke like everybody does she thought it was easy to take Madi from Wanheda, but she is too smart she is always one step ahead of anyone. Octavia didn't need redemption. She thinks she does, because she hates herself, and has for 4 long years, because morally compromised adults made her sacrifice herself and left her to deal with it alone. She did EVERYTHING for her people and she was willing to die for them, didn't hesitate for one second to step in front of a hail of bullets. Cannot believe the hypocrite Bellamy couldn't even say he loved her....i mean we all know he doesn't, but damn give the girl something. She was never in it for power, which this scene proves -it was always about saving her people. Everyone blames Octavia for the massacre, but it was Kane's fault and Clarke's fault. Clarke ruined the element of surprise while Kane gave away their battle plans. Everyone is making horrible decisions, making me hate them, only for the show to turn it around and bring me to like them again in the next scene. It's crazy, but good. Also, "I loved her so much, but it's nothing compared to how much I love you." She was about to go out the same way Lincoln went out, on their knees surrendering saving a few their people. I think it was a good way to end Octavia arc, but too easy, it's harder to keep her and face her demons.

Getting too muddy
Abdulxoxo15 August 2020
It's getting annoying, how many times will the characters switch sides not to talk it always happens in a matter of seconds. Kane is this, Diyoza is that, Abby is this etc it's just getting too confusing.

Stop teasing us about some of the characters coming to their end;

Abby almost died but she miraculously popped up - I don't care if she dies really!

Kane was attacked and unconscious - i could care less if he dies too

What? They're telling the McCreary guys couldn't shot Octavia who was in an open field but they shot down those other soldiers who just moved an inch?

And Indra must be the most luckiest character in the entire show, she miraculously survived every attack or massacre e.g she was the last survivor when Bellamy and pike killed off all her troops, she survived another massacre when the azgeda soldiers attacked them protecting the temple and now she survived an ambush by McCreary's guys, and what's even funny is that they were at the Frontline if anyone should die, it should be her and the others at the front.

Gaia's death was teased too but nothing happened - I could care less if she dies either.

Now I might be in the minority here but I actually like Clarke being overprotected, no think about it, they've through hell and back together in those 6 years. She's like a mother figure to Madi so it make sense the way she behaved.

The main characters are totally lacking direction and are getting annoying, I don't know why this episode got lots of stars.

End of the line
sjonno-206768 August 2018
OK, maybe I'm not the smartest guy around but the plot is getting too convoluted for my taste. Can't really say who belongs to which faction or why they switch sides in seconds. Understand the underlying idea of them all trying to get possesion of the "garden of Eden"without destryoing it (too much). But come on guys! This show started as a pretty girl / guy show with a thought of a story, then it got really good and now it's back to watching pretty girls / guys doing some shooting and what not. This show had it's day clearly, round it up now please.

this show is getting worse every season
tollph13 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Clarke is all of the sudden killing people without even asking what they want or trying to do it more peacefully like killing that soldier to "safe" Madi even though there was no reason for it cuz she made him put gun every before crazy Clarke shoot him ,few episodes later she is willing to shoot their friends and put collar on her neck and hurt her with it just to "safe" her again. Also Clarke will betray anyone because why not, it creates another drama to stretch the show by few episodes i guess. Clark is now Villain huraaaa. Illogical stupid plot twist just for shock value.

That's just few examples of characters acting completely different cuz cheap writting ,there is lot of completely stupid scenarios and decisions they make all the time but this season 5 it's in quantity like never before. It's getting annoying to watch the same thing all over again basically every single season . Do not get me wrong this stupid decision making was in first seasons too but now it's just that and nothing with forced drama and motivational speeches . They should end this show with season 3 where it was still decent or even good in some episodes . I will probably keep watching till end of series just out of curiosity but writing is truly terrible.

I swear it's getting ridiculous, every episode characters switch sides for no logical reason! And they forgive and trust each other afterwards so easily! So stupid.
