Composer Ry Cooder is the focus of this fourteen-minute featurette that has him talking about his work on Walter Hill's THE LONG RIDERS. If you're a fan of that film then you're certainly going to enjoy this featurette, which has the composer talking about how he got the job and his working relationship with Hill. There are a lot of very good stories told about the production of the film as far as the music score goes. Cooder does a great job at talking about his working relationship with Hill and the type of education that he was given by the director. Cooder goes into some good details about various choices made for the music and you get a really good sense of what it was like working with a director to try and get the perfect music for a scene.
