It might be one in hundreds short films that succeeds to deliver an authentic atmosphere ! A great realistic dialogue and acting! I believe this short took its time to see the light! Constructing the timeline, and the twist it uses given the short length of a short film is just superb and good writing. I enjoyed the little twists and they didn't feel cheesy at all! The opening scene puts right away in a a very attractive atmosphere, the characters are so authentic and the dialogue (and interruptions) flow very naturally! The editing was superb! Very realistic, believable and enjoyable, every bit. This is indeed great cinema.

Sweet and brutal

I felt sorry for this sweet little short without any reviews. I love quirky British films and this one fits, even though it includes unfortunately a hatchet murder (yes). Honestly, the ending touched me when the young boy returns to return the money he stole. Yes, it drew a tear. So, I do recommend this short for those similarly twisted souls who can stand the brutal part (nothing other than a drop of blood is shown though, really not too graphic, especially today).
