I loved this.

Too relatable. I imagined myself and a group of close friends in this very scenario and it's almost identical to this movie. It's very funny, silly, and yet realistic enough.

Filmmakers friends obviously leaving reviews 😂

Judging by the number of 10 ratings on here, I can only imagine that the filmmakers had their friends all come write reviews. Smart move, but it doesn't really accomplish anything if actual people can't make it through 20 minutes of the film.

Clever concept, great acting, fast-paced. What horror should be.

Millennial Apocalypse
TheAll-SeeingI6 August 2019
The log line for the apocalyptic found footage horror comedy "Housed" asks, "Will millennials find a way to survive the apocalypse? No, but they'll definitely tweet about it." Needless to say, I'm all in.

Outside, some sort of demonized zombie apocalypse is raging. So of course, the film's collegiate Millennials think it's a profound opportunity to shack up and party, complete with all the accoutrements - including a blogging blogger (or is that a vlogging vlogger?). Terrific premise, and executed with tremendous humor and shrewd economy by director Simone Kisiel and crew. The humor here is sharp, absurdly ridiculous, and chock full of knowingly eternal college stereotypes augmented by pointed Millennial skewering. At some point, one has to wonder if being trapped outside or inside is the lesser of the two gigs (I know my own preference, but will stay mum for fear of being "cancelled").

A rad door-opener when you bridge horror and comedy is the instantaneous ability to leverage the cheapest blood and gore effects in the name of irony and self-deprecation. "Housed" is well aware of it, too, calling for terrifically tawdry thrills from the effects department to accentuate the film's absurdity at the expense of totally unnecessary realism. It's great. Ultimately, "Housed" once again proves that a tight idea, aware writing, and the drive to execute is always going to empower the possibility of great indie filmmaking, and "Housed" is exactly that.

An enjoyable silly comedy.

An enjoyable silly comedy. A nice fluff way to spend an evening (that, warning gets a little spooky at the end!). Good low-budget indie, good writing, good acting, a nice mix of cute, gross, funny, and weird. Cannot wait for the next feature from talented Simone Kiesel.

Funny Zom-com!

This was an amusing light comedy with a variety of characters that made for good viewing - well worth a watch if you are looking fro a bit of escapism and especially of you like zom-coms!

Dark, sarcastic humor makes this a worthwhile watch
Smgrte23586013 September 2018
I'm always hesitant about "found footage" movies, but Housed is way better than most in the genre. The black humor and the sarcasm from the characters were really enjoyable and the story is fun. A good, quick watch!

I'm usually not a fan of the found footage genre but I really enjoyed this fun indie comedy. Very funny premise that was executed nicely by the director.

Horror/Comedy for the win!!
simonekisiel1 September 2018
I really enjoyed it, and I frickin' love mockumentary comedies (e.g. What We Do in the Shadows) and HOUSED is just a fun time. The characters are really unique for this style and don't devolve into stereotypes, and the visual effects were pretty cool for such small-budget film. Looking forward to seeing more stuff from Magic Dog Productions.

Clever and Entertaining

I wouldn't want to give too much away but don't go in expecting a lot of nods to zombie horror canon. It has it's own twisted internal coherence and goes off in its own direction. Speaking of which, the direction of this film was solid.

Thoroughly enjoyable, full of witty bits and observations. What it lacks in budget it makes up for in spirit.

What a fun wild ride!!

What's better than kids battling a zombie apocalypse? Nothing, there's nothing better, which is why this film was so fun to watch. Too many films take themselves seriously and this one definitely kept me entertained and laughing out loud. Bravo to the filmmakers for a job well done. An easy watch for sure.

A great spoof
Phil_Chester13 September 2018
There have been so many found footage horror films that it was definitely time that we had a good spoof of the format. A very simple, but effective concept and a lot of fun to watch. Recommended.
