Selena plays multiple bad liars

Warning: Spoilers
In the Music Video,in 70s setting Selena plays a teenage high school going girl who has a crush on her PT teacher(which is Selena too) and is trying to be subtle about it. Selena also plays the Dad, who too is flirting with the same PT teacher in the school(Don't know what he's doing there) and is seen going back home with the Mom who is also played by Selena.

Basically, Selena shows her amazing acting prowess by fitting into each role naturally depicting a Bad Liar in subtle way. And the video is a funny take considering "Selena is cheating on Selena with Selena, but Selena also has a crush on Selena"

"So bad it's funny" material

Warning: Spoilers
What we have here is the music video for the Selena Gomez song "Bad Liar". It runs for under 4 minutes and is still very new and fresh from 2017. But it's still a mess. It started to hit rock-bottom quickly already early with this Troy reference in the lyrics where I really wonder what the writers had smoked. The story is about a girl whose boyfriend is apparently not too faithful, an approach loved by singers in their music videos because it has them sending fake messages about how they really have the same normal problems like their not famous fans. And what was it with the singer playing the other two characters too with strange costumes actually? Anyway, Selena Gomez definitely doesn't have the greatest voice on the planet, but she is not deserving of a song and a music video like she has here. Actually, she sounds a bit like Lena Meyer-Landrut at times. But that's just a side notion. I really don't know what to think of this one here. Or was it all just comedy? Then it was truly unfunny. In any case, visual and audio were a huge mess here and the overall outcome is a failure. Keep your distance if it's not too late already. Kinda sucks to see Jesse Peretz here as the director as he has worked on some quality stuff in his prolific career. A certain contender for his worst career effort. I myself am glad it was this short.
