The Making of 'Tales From the Hood' (1995)

This here is one of those promotional shorts that were made to try and sell a movie to people who might not otherwise plan on seeing it. If you grew up in the 80s and 90s then you're going to remember these. This one here clocks in at six-minutes and features interviews with director Rusty Cundieff, co-writer Darin Scott, ExecutiveProducer Spike Lee and various cast members including Clarence Williams III, Corbin Bernsen and David Alan Grier. At just six-minutes there's obviously nothing ground-breaking here. When watching these I always judge them on how well they sell the movie and if watching this makes me want to check out the film. I thought this one here did a pretty good job at selling the picture, although the social messages of the picture are pretty much hidden as this is sold as a straight horror film.
