Sex & Nudity
-
- Two gelfing's kiss. Although they are puppets, the scene is rather dragged out and might be a bit uncomfortable for some, especially as they talk about how they first kissed. But they are stopped short, as something interrupts.

Frightening & Intense Scenes
-
- A Skeksis has welts filled with puss/boogers. She sneezes and wipes strings of gooey mucus from her nose. There is one scene in particular that gets quite gross and disturbing in which they're intimidating a gelfling and talking about how the Skeksis got her wounds and welts.
- There is a spider/crab-like creature known as a "spitter" that shrieks and crawls on ceilings, they descend into its "nest", which is in dark caves with webs strung across the tunnels.
- There are creatures known as "Nerlocks" that are generally friendly, but as a gelfling feeds a baby one, it turns evil and latches out at her. The parent Nerlock then comes and attacks the gelfing, roaring and presumably trying to bite or eat her as she scurries backwards, on her hands and feet, down a tunnel to escape.
Spoilers
Violence & Gore
- The Skeksis drain the life essence of a gelfling by stabbing two prongs into her back.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking
- There is no alcohol, drugs or smoking. But the Skeksis are draining the life essence of Gelfing and consuming it to make them younger and "cheat death", they drink it and immediately feel it's affects (proclaiming how young and strong they feel), almost fighting over the liquid as they all guzzle it down gluttonously. Could be perceived as a sort of "drug" or "alcohol".
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- The Skeksis all swarm over a bowl filled with a gelfling's life essence, fighting over it, they dip their faces into the liquid and guzzle it in a frenzy. This scene can be gross and also frightening as they all act like wild animals as they devour the essence. Afterwards, they celebrate maniacally with a sort of victory dance as they feel the affects of the essence, which makes them feel young and strong and they "cheat death".
