Typical TV action hero stuff made especially for TV that I call the B-Team

Warning: Spoilers
Season 1 was pretty good. As action heroes go, Clive Standen who plays rogue agent Bryan Mills is locked up in a Mexican prison where he is subjected to fight against a different prison tough guy seemingly daily. After Bryan Mills wins his last no holds barred prison fight the Mexican prison guards kick the crap out of him before throwing him back into his dirty cell.

Days pass, then months, winning each prison fight Bryan seems to be collecting trinkets from his opponents in an attempt to make some type of weapon. The day finally comes when Bryan sees his chance to get even with the overzealous prison guards and make his escape. Escape he does but with another meek prisoner named Jose (Jose Joaquin Perez) who Bryan allows to escape with him. Jose is trying to transport his family across the Mexican border arranged by a female coyote when the bandidos show up and take Jose's teenage daughter Amelia (Adriana Santos) and Bryan as prize trophies to sell off for different purposes.

Bryan promises Jose that if he trusts him, he promises to reunite Jose with his daughter Amelia. If you are old enough to remember the 1983 TV action series "The A-Team" this episode kind of reminds me of the same unrealistic action vein. It is not to be taken too seriously and so I did not. Mrs. Shullivan likes the series and this particular episode has Clive Standen with his shirt off a few times so the series does try and sell itself on the male Bryan Mills eye candy.

There are a few new characters added to Christina Hart (Jennifer Beals) B-Team such as Adam Goldberg who plays the teams tech wizard named Harden Kilroy and Jessica Camacho who plays the military expert Santana. We will watch a few more episodes since season 1 was decent and I trust the series will reduce the over the top action stuff and focus more on story line.
