Claire had torn a fairly large portion of the bottom front of her shirt off to give to Alara as a scarf to cover her head & ear ridges. Yet when entering Lewis' apartment, it appears to be unaltered & the same length as earlier in the episode.
When the Orville crew is flooding the Master Feed with positive notes about John, Lysella's arms switch between angles from being folded in front of her to having her left hand up near her chin.
All cars on Sargus 4 are Earth cars from the 2010s, including a Chevrolet Cruze and a Toyota Prius. Since this series uses the Trek Universe as a model, this is consistent with the original Star Trek (1966) and its low-budget world-building. The Enterprise often came to "parallel Earths" whose architecture, design, and even written signage paralleled 20th century Earth EXACTLY, due to simply borrowing the sets of ordinary sitcoms such as The Andy Griffith Show (1960).
One of the audience members at The Chat is wearing his badge upside down.
The away team was supplied with the anthropological reports from Lewis and Tom that gave them enough insight into the culture of Sargus 4 that they were able to replicate the clothing and money, yet somehow they were completely unaware of the up/down voting system, the basic framework of that planet's society.
The social system of Sargus 4 features both up-votes and down-votes, yet only down-votes are shown to have any influence over policy or decision-making. Up-voting has no effect on any outcome or social standing. If someone gets a million down-votes they are charged with a crime. If they get 10 million they are corrected. If they have more than 500,000 they cannot be served at any cafe. Up-voting seems to serve absolutely no purpose.
John clearly gives the authorities his real name, yet that name would not match who his badge was issued to.
Why would Lysella leave work while still on the job? Surely she knows she'd be down-voted by all the employees and maybe even their friends.
Willks at first thinks that John, a black man, is Kelvic. Later, an angry white Kelvic man tells Alara (also white) that she is misusing a sacred Kelvic hat. Since Kelvic is clearly not based on skin color, there is no obvious reason for the man to assume that Alara isn't Kelvic.
After learning that his uncaring jackass behavior is seen as criminal, John continues acting like an uncaring jackass, rather than showing contrition and seeking atonement.
Any competent "away team" member of a ship like the Enterprise or the Orville would have basic understanding of low profile noninterference, which would certainly NOT include walking up to city monuments and making obscene gestures.
