Mulder and Scully are eating at an all night sushi restaurant, when Mulder walks into the kitchen to see the robots running the kitchen, an AI seems to run it all. When Mulder returns to his seat, Scully gets ready to pay, Mulder insists on buying and while paying one of the screens requests if they would like to tip the staff, which Mulder declines. The AI won't release his credit card. What follows is a slapstick of one misadventures after another until their lives are threatened as the AI is dropping not so subtle hints! Will Mulder and Scully learn from the AI or will it be too late? Written by Movie Dude

Scully's password 'Queequeg' was also the name she gave the Pomeranian dog she adopted at the end of the classic '"The X-Files: Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose (1995)" -s03e04. The dog was later eaten by an alligator in '"The X-Files: Quagmire (1996)" -s03e22. The name Queequeg is from the classic novel "Moby Dick", which was also where Scully's and her father's nicknames 'Starbuck' and 'Ahab' originate. See more »

This episode is amazing and you won't convince me otherwise

I feel like a lot of people giving bad reviews didn't really understand the point of this episode. I don't think it was supposed to fit in at all with the normal story, because as other people have said a lot of it wouldn't make sense. Scully wouldn't live in a house like that, she would never use a driveless car (why wouldn't Mulder drive her home since he has his own car there), and they would never go to an automated restaurant like that. I think it's best to view it as a stand alone episode that doesn't make much sense (as a lot of x files episodes don't) but that is (in my opinion) highly entertaining. I thought it was hilarious watching a rogue Roomba and dozens of drones chase Mulder and Scully around. Of course it sends a message about our use of technology today, but really I just thought it was a fun and quirky episode that people have misunderstood.
