Are all time portals gone? Or not...
george-89630 April 2017
Hm, not sure why they are playing it like that. But we all know that there is this "morpheus"-like guardian who keeps that ultimate time portal from being used (let alone destroyed) by anyone. And we all know that Samurai Jack has been prophesized to be the only one to use it. Well, I guess we'll have to wait and see, lol..

A long journey
mateo1308 June 2017
It is shocking how the story continues after 50 years. Jack is still in a young body but his soul is broken and he is tired after all these years which really leaves a bitter taste for those who watching it. We needed to wait 7 episodes to retrieve the one who we followed TEN years ago but it is totally worth it. This episode with the fight scenes and the soul ride as Jack was looking for his sword is just speechless. For me it was shockingly moving. This cartoon is way more than what we usually call a cartoon. It is full of emotions and the unique and stylish drawing is just sucks you in. It is too bad that everything ends once because this is a truly beautiful story about standing out what you really believe in and that everything good we do during our life will be rewarded sooner or later.

Go Ashi!
ericstevenson30 April 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Well, I ended up loving this episode if only because of how awesome Ashi was. Okay, technically she's trained all her life to be a warrior but this is where we really get to see her shine. Ashi actually gets to confront her mother. This will mark her last appearance, if you catch my drift. We get this great flashback that reveals how Jack lost his sword. It features Aku destroying the last time portal, making you obviously wonder how Jack's going to get back. There really is some tear jerking stuff in this scene where we see Jack kill some sheep demons only to find out that they were actually little lambs Aku had transformed.

That really is a pretty heartbreaking scene. Ashi confronts an army and claims she can beat them all by herself. She actually does! I mean, I have seriously never seen any female character in all of fiction take out so many characters! This shows that the term One Man Army is sexist, as she is without a doubt a One Woman Army. I admit it's kind of weird how Jack fights with himself. I don't know if this is meant to be a separate entity, but whatever he got his strength restored in the end. ****

The Samurai Reborn
shivaniscool9 May 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Looks like Jack and Ashi are now going to find the Sword that can be used to defeat Aku, it is shocking that Jack did not lose the sword, but the sword left. The fact is that Aku has turned innocent baby ox's into savage ox's and had Jack killed them which explains why the sword was gone. Aku is a real jerk for destroying all of the time portals and for having the baby ox's killed, but I'm sure there are some time portals left. Looks like Jack is going on a journey on his own to retrieve the sword in order to be worthy again. Another hallucination of Jack came back which was rage who happens to be known as Mad Jack. Jack realizes it was his anger which leads to hopelessness and despair, he stopped Mad Jack by letting go which means he has now found balance. Jack did a really good job making tea for a monk. The three gods who forged the sword to give to his father now gives it to Jack because he is now worthy of it, not only that, but he also had his original clothes back and his facial hair is shaved. During when Jack was trying to retrieve his sword, Ashi fought an army of monster knights who were going to kill Jack, they were not the only ones, because the High Priestess (Ashi and her sisters' mother) came. She was disgusted with her for failing to kill Jack and for letting him live for killing Ashi's sisters. However, Ashi blames her mother for her sisters' deaths because she used her and her sisters as weapons since they were born. Ashi killed her mother because she was going to kill Jack, looks like she met her end. Now that the bad guys are defeated and the sword has been retrieved, Jack and Ashi now go out to fight Aku.
