Mike Francesa and Chris Russo worked together for 19 years on WFAN before their show crashed and burned in 2008. Francesa still hosts a show on weekday afternoons on WFAN. It is sadly no longer simulcast anywhere. Russo now has his own channel on Sirius XM that no one really bothers with. Mike and the Mad Dog, directed by Daniel H. Forer, dives into the inner workings of one of the sports world's most unlikely partnerships: Francesa and "Mad Dog" Russo, the voices that launched a thousand sports radio imitators. The hosts, some of their colleagues, and a who's-who of sports heavyweights tell the story of their surprise rise to stardom and 19 years as the iconic voices of New York sports. An ESPN Films release, Imus refused to interview for the Mike and Mad Dog 30 For 30 documentary and Craig Carton felt vindicated by the inclusion of The Loyalty Oaths. Others suspiciously left out of the poorly rated ESPN broadcast included Eddie Erickson and Eddie Scozzare.
