Vice President's Haas tenure as President did not last long. Speaker of the House Henry Roark has stepped into the Oval Office as the second consecutive unelected president. The irony of this seems to have been lost although the producers of Quantico want to mirror the chaos of the real life Trump presidency.
We are told that Roark has signed more executive orders that any other president. He is on his way to establish the Muslim registry, border control and an allusion to draining the swamp. Roark's medicine to fix the country is to call a Constitutional convention and all he needs is the collaborators to set up a devastating terrorist incident and blame it on Islamists.
However back in the Farm our team of the CIA and FBI work together to thwart the plot. Roark is one step ahead by publicly congratulating the team and revealing their identities. It gives Roark more impetus to press on with his plans for constitutional change.
I found the episode rather fractured, maybe the thwarting of the terrorist plot was dealt with too early in the episode. The second half of the episode felt too slowed down and talky.
