- Erik Hunter: So, Saganash and Bruhl are working together. Of course, it all makes sense. Our charming neighbor has tried to get his hands on our house for a long time.
- Kate Hunter: What I don't understand is what is in it for Saganash?
- Tess Hunter: Let me guess. You played a video game and now you think you actually know how to rollerskate.
- Max Hunter: Very close, but not really. I'm going after Bruhl. This is my disguise. Bruhl is meeting Saganash today and guess who's going to be there, too. This guy.
- [Max hops on his skateboard and promptly crashes]
- Max Hunter: Whoa! Ow!
- Tess Hunter: Are they meeting at a clown show, 'cause you'll fit right in.
- [When Tess and Sal ask The Relatives for their assistance, they only receive a scrap of old parchment with a single sentence written on it]
- Tess Hunter: All that effort for a single piece of paper. What were those words again?
- Sal Hunter: "Arna optima defensive est. Clanche et ocula mei comspeat ori suit pura."
- Tess Hunter: What language is that even in?
- Sal Hunter: Definitely Latin, but I have no idea what it means.
- Tess Hunter: Don't you have a Latin-English translation app?
- Sal Hunter: [grinning] Doesn't everybody?
- Anika Hunter: What about your spy mission?
- Max Hunter: It was a semi-success. I followed Bruhl and Saganash's henchman.
- Daniel Hunter: You mean Saganash.
- Max Hunter: No.
- Daniel Hunter: Yes!
- Sal Hunter: We don't know who he followed.
- Max Hunter: It doesn't matter who I followed. He got away.
- Tess Hunter: So, what part of your semi-successful mission was successful?
- Max Hunter: I got a lot better at skateboarding.

- [the Hunters have trapped a hooded intruder, clad in black, in their library]
- Max Hunter: Trapped like the rat he is!
- Daniel Hunter: Well, what do we do now?
- Sal Hunter: We should call the police.
- Tess Hunter: You're right, but not just yet.
- Max Hunter: What are you going to do?
- Tess Hunter: I've got a few questions I'd like answered. Sal, open the door.
- [the Hunters enter the library and discover that the hooded villain is a beautiful young woman]
