Bruce Willis and Cole Hauser in Acts of Violence (2018)

Goofs

Acts of Violence

Edit

Continuity

Near the end they are loading girls into a tractor trailer. The girls go up the ramp and then the doors are shut and the ramp is removed. A few moments later the "good guys" are at the back of the trailer. "Open the doors" one says. The other does and the girls start coming down the ramp. But there were no ramps a few moments before. We do not see them being put back.
In the strip club, the stripper removes her bra and drops it onto the brothers in the front row. In the next shot, it is back on her body.

Factual errors

The tiny cylinder implanted in the girl's hand is too small to be a GPS tracking device. It resembles a RFID chip. The latest RFID technology can be read at about 50 feet maximum. A functional GPS device like that you would attach to a bicycle or pet collar is at least 3/4 inch x 4 inches.
Detective Avery is shown walking into a police gun range without eye or ear protection. No department would allow this, nor would any cop do this due to the risk of damage to their hearing.
Around 11:00 minutes in they are at The Cleveland Clinic and you can see 2 extras in the background on a smoke break. The Cleveland Clinic has a very strict no smoking policy and this would never happen.
The film shows LifeCare Ambulance on scene numerous times. The city of Cleveland runs it's own third service paramedic service, Cleveland EMS. LifeCare Ambulance is a private company run in Lorain county, west of Cleveland.
When Deklan is showing Roman how to draw, he tells him to bring the weapon "up, straight out, then you ride the front target". Deklan should have said "the front sight" instead of the front target. "The front target" is meaningless.

Revealing mistakes

During the opening sequence, after the man pulls the 2 boys off the 2 boys on the ground, in the following shot, the boys on the ground have disappeared.
While loading the freed girls into the van, the person in the passenger seat can be seen using a firearm with the slide locked back, indicating it has no ammunition in it.

Character error

Girl in the strip club is shown in removing garments and throwing one of them at the younger brother. However, in the next shot she is wearing it again.
