Masterpiece. Nothing like it. Should be watched by everyone everyday. One of the best pieces of cinema ever. God level. Great song, dancing, directing and message. All around fantastic.

Michael was so ahead of his time. He made song and videos that has so much meaning behind it. He was something else. A true icon that died to young. This video is another of his many pieces of art he created. It shows the injustices of this world. Rest in piece Michael. You will be missed.

Excellent song, the visual side has ups and downs

Warning: Spoilers
Here we have the second music video to the Michael Jackson song "They Don't Care About Us" and just like with the Brazil version, the director is Oscar-nominated African American filmmaker Spike Lee. It runs for slightly under five minutes and was released back in 1996, so it had its 20th anniversary last year. This is the prison version, well sort-of. There are scenes with all the inmates singing or MJ jumping and dancing on the tables, but these reenacted scenes are probably where this one is at its worst because it just doesn't feel authentic and Jackson at a prison? Sorry but no, he just feels way too soft to pull ii off as an inmate. But the good thing is there are also 2 aspects which really make this one worth watching. Number 1 would be the song that is very different compared to most of Jackson's other works and I liked it to an extent where I would say it is one of his best. And the second point is the documentary scenes in here from moments that fit the general tone of the song extremely well, especially early on, and these are also better than everything you see in the Brazil version. As a whole, I recommend the watch and I highly recommend the listen. No doubt I give this a thumbs-up.

Warning: Spoilers
It is just a powerful manifesto. Not only about the abuses of cops against black people but about the politic against life of ordinary people. From wars to repression, all is presented as face of injustice in this remarkable video. And the song gives new nuances to the message , not only for music or verses but for a special state of spirit.
