What they failed to mention in Ep. 1 is that stonehenge was
dvwsophorajaponica5 July 2019
From 1901-1964 Stonehedge was (re)built using cranes. For decades the official Stonehenge guidebooks have been full of fascinating facts and figures and theories surrounding the world's greatest prehistoric monument. What the glossy brochures do not mention, however, is the systematic rebuilding of the 4,000 year old stone circle throughout the 20th Century.

This is one of the dark secrets of history archaeologists don't talk about: The day they had the builders in at Stonehenge to recreate the most famous ancient monument in Britain as they thought it ought to look.

Contributor Pope

Interesting series, however, emphasis must be made on contributors expertise, position. Nick Pope was the lowest civil service grade manager in the UK Ministry of Defence. For 2-3 years he ran the so called UFO Desk with a junior clerk. The role entailing the receipt of letters etc from members of the public in the UK, who had reported unidentified sightings in British skies. The Desk did basic investigations & any unexplained sightings would likely be referred upwards.

Mr. Pope is/was portrayed in various UFO documentaries such as Ancient Aliens, et al, that he is either a former Director in the (UK) Ministry of Defence (MoD), Defence Expert, Analyst etc. Most of what Mr. Pope comments on is or was already 'open source' and known by other UFO researchers, or interested members of the public. The fact that he worked for the MoD allowed Mr Pope authenticity to realise the subject can be exploited and a second career as a UFO pundit could be created especially in the U.S.A.

The UFO Desk was subsequently closed as resources were required else where.

UFOs and the Presidents: FDR to JFK
gingersnaps-7602716 July 2019
I like this series and this episode was very good. Just one point of contention. You mentioned that President Truman took time DURING HIS BUSY SCHEDULE for a briefing on UFOs ONCE EVERY THREE MONTHS....AND THAT WAS SIGNIFICANT. Once every three months?? Significant?? Because he had a busy schedule??? GIVE ME A BREAK. How could once every three months be significant just because he had a busy schedule. I'm sure he had to take time to go to the bathroom a lot more than once every three months during his busy schedule.

Opinion stated as fact

Where do they find these bozos (both commenters and interviewees)? I would love to ask just one question: Nearly all of the 'evidence' is crap from decades ago, when a camera was not something carried by everyone 24/7, and required a fairly long process to even get ready to shoot. Today nearly every planetary resident capable of standing on two legs is carrying a mobile device that is as close to automatic as ever produced, yet there seems to be a complete lack of any recent photography of aliens, UFOs, or anything else of that ilk. Geez, one would think that someone would get one, even by accident, during the billions of selfies taken every day. I am soooo fed up with the over-dramatized drivel foisted on us, masquerading as 'science' - this isn't the only piece of crap being sent our way by what was once the 'education' channels. I assume that Millennials in general have IQ levels equal to (or even higher) than previous generations, but apparently only put in enough effort to utilize around half of whatever that number is. Steer clear of any show with 'UFO', 'NASA', or the words "mystery', 'revealed', or 'unexplained' in the title and you stand at least a 50/50 chance of not having your intelligence insult very 3 or 4 minutes.

New research of old sightings
IndridC0ld4 February 2020
I'm really impressed with the fact that the producers have gone back and reworked information from older sightings. Hearing from the original people involved gives these events added credibility. The Rendlesham forest incident as told by the former deputy base commander of that NATO base lent a LOT of credibility to that event. The producers seem to have taken care to add additional info to these events.

"UFOs: Jumping To Conclusions"
drisley-722302 May 2021
While there are a few nifty pieces presented here and there, much of this series is about UFO conspiracy theorists jumping to conclusions.

A possible submarine off the coast of Sweden? Extra-terresttrials! The Russians deny it was them? Aliens from another planet! (I mean, why would the Russians possibly deny having a submarine in NATO waters?)

The guy from theblackvault is probably the only level headed one. That Dolan guy is a bit of a hot-headed nut who will attack if his "everything is an alien" belief is challenged.

It's these types of people that set back the whole "what are UFOs?" question back to the crazy ages.

Cheap Documentaries Repeating
pmorgantaibach9 August 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This series is better than the new Unidentified: Inside America's UFO Investigation which seems to be a brainwashing tool as it repeats so many videos and quotes. Nick Pope seems to be the go to man for credibility in these kinds of documentaries but his earnest and serious way of talking just wears thin in the end.

I have one massive gripe about the stock videos etc used, (because the're cheap?), but series one episode three they talk about Gemini 7 with astronauts Frank Borman & Jim Lovell but use video of Gemini 8 with Neil Armstrong & Dave Scott. I think ozart2002 states it way better than I could although in series 2 there was some WWII material I didn't know.

Glad I don't pay to see these sensational documentaries

I have access to ufo video footage that was videotaped in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. It was also on the news, with several residential witnesses , as well as a Paxton Township police officer. Can someone from UFOs: The Lost Evidence please contact me in regards to getting this video shown on the show please. Thanks.

Omg what a giant leap for mankind!!! Lof'inL
SciFiEntertain19 August 2018
Just watched S1 episode4. Where did they get this from??? They compare a Mayan ritual mask to a 21st century space helmet!!!! (Looked like a ritual mask you would see in a movie) They show a a Mayan kings burial tomb lid that's engraved and suggest that it's an engraving of him flying a spaceship??? (Looked like a person with a load of crap around him, like maybe his treasures!). They then show this doll figure that is seemingly a representation of an alien!!! (Maybe they watched the movie Quatermass & the Pit at some stage in their life and got confused!!!!)

Eye opening theories that make way more sense than conventional theories
jtspdx30 December 2019
Nice to see some questions being presented with different and far more believable answers than current theories. At the end of the day, we don't really know what happened in the past, but the ancient astronaut theories seem the most probable. Watch with an open mind and ignore the skeptics whose reviews seem so angry and malicious.
