You (the viewer) Can't Handle the Truth
jfknutt10 June 2017
As John Barbour has said in the Q & A after his film, 'The American Media & The Second Assassination of President John F. Kennedy,' the majority of Americans, mostly in the U.S. Media, cannot handle the truth which is documented relentlessly in this film. This film should be required viewing for any journalist (or journalist major in college) to see how $$$ corrupts the truth. Hundreds (if not thousands) of books have been written showing the complicity of the U.S. Government in the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. NONE of these books are reviewed by the New York Times, LA Times, Washington Post, etc. However, write a book showing Oswald (is guilty) and the Warren Commission (got it correct) and you will have fabulous reviews, asked to be on TV news programs, and have the financial security you could only dream of...as long as you know you are lying to yourself and your readers. Eventually, somebody in the Media, needs to grow a spinal column and stand up for people like John Barbour, who (with the others that assisted him in making this film) has brilliantly delivered the premiere documentary proving the U.S. Media's cover-up of the assassination of the century and ultimately reversing JFK's foreign policy. Sorry Noam Chomsky, your book and viewpoints are easily discredited in this documentary film, as well as your heartless sentiments that you 'don't care who killed Kennedy.'

The film shows endless documents, photographs & interviews proving there was a media cover-up immediately after the assassination which continues today. Only now, when the world screams of 'fake news' is the story of Jim Garrison even more credible. Judge Garrison defended himself to hoards of media (including Dan Rather, Mike Wallace, Walter Sheridan and countless others) which attacked him under the CIA's 'Operation Mockingbird' during his arrest and subsequent trial of Clay Shaw. This incredible documentary also shows the recently released document which shows the CIA's complicity in the Garrison trial. This document specifically states, "We (The CIA) must help Mr. Shaw otherwise Jim Garrison is going to obtain a conviction."

The film also proves that Jimmy Carter (President during HSCA hearings) was the ONLY President wanting to know the truth in the assassination of JFK. However, the film also shows how President Carter was controlled into not finding out the truth of the events of 11/22/63. Carter's own assassination attempt, by two people named, Raymond Lee Harvey & Oswaldo Espinoza, clearly intimidated President Carter into submission and fear of his own life. No single President since Jimmy Carter has expressed any interest in reopening this case which was mandated by Congress on July 18, 1979 (HSCA). The Justice Department has done nothing in nearly four decades to find the truth and reopen this case. This is why, at the end of the film, John Barbour produces a '10 Most Wanted' Poster at the end of the film and delivers it to the Justice Department. The truth is the most important matter and it is clearly defined in this film.

Regardless of your political views, every person who reads this post needs to demand their U.S. Representatives to Congress and their State Senators to require President Trump to release all documents as required by the Assassinations Records Review Board on October 26, 2017. Operation Mockingbird, as elegantly depicted in this film, is ALIVE & WELL today with a budget of over $2.3 Billion. As Kevin Costner (acting as Judge Jim Garrison) said in Oliver Stone's 1991 film, 'JFK.' "Truth often poses a threat to Power and one often has to fight power as a great risk to themselves. The truth is the most important value we have because if the truth is not endured, that if the (U.S.) Government murders truth, if we cannot respect the hearts of the people then this is not the country in which I was born in and certainly not the country in which I want to die in. Show this world, that this is still a government of the people, for the people and by the people.' This film, 'The American Media & The Second Assassination of President John F. Kennedy, The Jim Garrison Tapes, pt. 2' overwhelmingly proves Media & Government complicity in the murder & cover-up of the assassination of President Kennedy. John Barbour has clearly put great risk on his own life in speaking the truth in this film. Only releasing all documents related to the JFK assassination will truly return the United States to the greatest country in the world.

Warning: Spoilers
This documentary is an excellent and thrilling documentary filled with irrefutable fact and lays it out incredibly well. I am not shocked that LA Times can't dispute the facts so they use character assault on the producer John and I'm sure that LA Times brand being on the cover of the film has nothing to do with this biased review, right? If any of us have learned anything, their bad review is all the reason to see it.

The Definitive Movie on the JFK Assassination and the Jim Garrison Investigation
firstlorien11 June 2017
This movie is the epoch of JFK assassination research. And we have John Barbour to thank for devoting a good part of his life to making sure the truth about New Orleans District Attorney Jim Garrison's investigation into the assassination of JFK is finally presented to the American public for the reality it was.

I have seen this movie twice, and both times I was moved to tears. Yes, tears... because Mr. Barbour has made THE DEFINITIVE JFK ASSASSINATION MOVIE which tells the truth about the coup d'etat that took place on 11/22/1963. And not just about the assassination, about the hubris, treachery and sadly, dumb compliance, of the Main Stream Media in the cover-up of JFK's murder.

Every man, woman and child should see this movie. That is how important it is. If nothing else, it will give you a glimpse into the complexity of the JFK assassination from Jim Garrison's point of view; where he spells out that it was a well orchestrated conspiracy involving many players and was covered-up at the highest levels of government.

If you were alive when the assassination took place, well, you will cry too. Because whether you like it or not, this movie will touch in you an emotion that can only be described as grief combined with sadness. These emotions tell us we have all been part of the subsequent assassinations and lies which have lead to the appalling situation we are in today as a country - the federal reserve, corrupt politicians, etc., etc.

If only we had raised our voices with Jim Garrison back in the late 60's as a nation, crowded New Orleans during the trial and demanded answers to JFK's murder - real answers - maybe we wouldn't be in the mess we are in today.

Again, this movie is so important it should be shown every year on 11/22 in every movie theater in the country, as well as used in schools to teach about the assassination of the last great president of the United States.

I only hope that everyone who sees this movie tells their family, their friends, their church, their community about its power. John Barbour has given us a tool to change the world going forward around the truth of the JFK assassination. He has given us the movie that will allow those of us alive after the assassination to redeem ourselves for being compliant.

Watch the movie, shed your tears of sadness, and thank a true patriot, John Barbour, for giving you this gift of redemption - the movie that we will use to educate all Americans and our future generations about the truth of what really happened to JFK, and our country, on 11/22/1963.

Excellent Introduction to the JFK Assassination
lavatch16 January 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Produced by documentary filmmaker John Barbour, this 2017 film is a good companion to his excellent work in the 1992 film "The Jim Garrison Tapes." Both films rely extensively on footage of New Orleans District Attorney Jim Garrison, as he describes his investigation of the JKFK assassination conducted in the late 1960s.

While the newer film provides good background on the JFK assassination, the focus is on the dereliction of the media in their failure to accurately report or even take a serious interest in the JFK case. There has been so much disgraceful reporting that today, the JFK case is no longer even a bona fide subject for inquiry by the mainstream media.

Barbour and his team could have done a better job in directing citizens interested in learning the truth about JFK's death to essential sources. While the internet was mentioned generically in the film, there were unfortunately no sites recommended. Sadly, the internet is full of garbage about the JFK assassination, and most of the blogs and forums are worthless.

As described in the film, a good starting point for understanding why President Kennedy died is to read Jim Garrison's book "On the Trail of the Assassins" and to view Oliver Stone's 1991 film "JFK." But two outstanding books to read are James Douglass, "JFK and the Unspeakable" and David Talbot's "The Devil's Chessboard." The former provides the political context for understanding why JFK died and how Oswald was scapegoated. The latter offers insights into the actual perpetrators responsible for the death of the 35th American president.

As our nation has never been the same since November 22,1963, this is a subject worthy of the attention of anyone who truly cares about history and wants to learn about how we have arrived at the our present state.
