Mark Wahlberg and Chiwetel Ejiofor in Infinite (2021)

Goofs

Infinite

Edit

Continuity

When Mark "falls" off the wall after escaping, he lands on the roof of a car. Switching camera angles, he has now landed on the windshield of a totally different car. When they revisit the scene again, this time he's landed on the roof like before but on the original car.
In the first foot chase scene. After Mark Wahlberg jumps out the apartment from with his sword. He ends up standing on a high wall and having those dreams of falling from a snowy mountain. And when he falls there is a shot of an old car and him falling in the middle of the roof collapsing the whole center of it. And when they cut back on top of the car . It was a completely different car and being shown lying on a windshield of a different car.

Factual errors

When being interrogated he is chained to the table, till the car enters through the wall, and he can jump away without the table.
Ronnie's henchman racks the slide on his pistol when threatening Evan. Then, after Ronnie tells him to "keep his gun on" Evan, the henchman cocks the hammer. The hammer would already be cocked from the slide-racking.
Bathurst fires his Dethroner full-auto on the plane-fight scene, despite the Dethroner being visibly a breech-loaded firearm.
Evan McCauley is asked "What's gunpowder made of?" He lists potassium nitrate and charcoal but neglects sulpher.
When Bathurst pulls out the egg from the dead body, there is no blood on the metal or on his hand.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

When Even is in the Artisan's machine, Bathurst is at a Black Jack table and he pulls out a mobile device and starts watching it at the table. Electronic devices are not allowed at gaming table in any casino as it can be a possible way to cheat.

Revealing mistakes

After Mexico, Abel's soul was in the jail of Bathurst during the entire lifetime of Nora. As such, he cannot have the memory of Leona as Nora. However, when Abel meets Leona at Angkor Wat in their next life, he calls her by the name Nora, which is impossible.
As is common with films, the number of basic mistakes with firearms is stunning. One character describes a .357 bullet as "250 grams". That is more than 20 times the weight of the actual bullet. Handguns racked twice or cocked after racking, people supposed to know how to handle handguns teacup them, and loaded rifles are pointed at colleagues.

Miscellaneous

During the interrogation, Bathurst comments that the room is completely sound proof and that the officers in the other room wouldn't hear the bullet, however both him and Evan hear the car racing and approaching from the outside. If the room was truly soundproof they would not have heard it and been crushed by it.
Bathurst's motivation to end all life is so he can break out of his reincarnation loop. He is in possession of a gun that ends the reincarnation of those that get in his way. All he needs to do is shoot himself.
Bathurst describes his bullet as "250 grams of lead" - he probably means 250 grains, which is a common bullet weight for a .45 Colt round. The cartridges on the table appear to be .357 magnum, though, which is never delivered in 250 grain slug weight.
The concept of the Infinites is that once they die, they are instantly reincarnated into freshly-born babies. However, Bathurst explains his motivation is that he begins remembering when the brain starts to form, and this drives him insane since he has months in the womb with nothing to do but think his thoughts.

Audio/visual unsynchronised

The Artisan does a countdown to release the buggy, but drops the buggy on "two" despite still counting down to one.

Plot holes

In their previous lives, Evan and Nora died on the same day in 1985 and immediately reincarnated. They should be same age now, but Mark Wahlberg (playing Evan) is 19 years older than Sophie Cookson (playing Nora) and the difference is noticeable.

Character error

Artisan built a complicated near-death experience machine, yet he keeps no resuscitation equipment nearby. No defibrillator, no drugs (adrenaline?), no oxygen, nothing.
