When Nick is at the book reading at the start of the episode, he is standing beside a 'meet the author' sign, featuring Nick. Both sign-Nick and real-Nick are wearing the same clothes (Blue blazer and green shirt).
The "Meet the Author" sign hanging in the bookstore window at the start of the episode reads, "Nick Miller is a Chicago native who got his start writing zom-rom stories, but now pens tales from the bayou-noir, very inspired by a summer he spent in New Orleans. He was almost a lawyer, but now owns a bar instead. That's all you need to know."
