The documentary focuses on first person accounts of some of the thousands directly affected by the purge of gays and lesbians from the Canadian public service and armed forces in the period 1954-1989. From suspicion to surveillance to interrogation and release from employment for no other reason than sexual orientation, thousands of careers and lives were destroyed. A truly sad chapter in Canadian history. This documentary should form part of the curriculum in all Canadian high schools.
