One of the best series based off a movie you'll find

A previous reviewer said she stopped watching because it's gone from being ridiculous to abysmal or something like that. I couldn't disagree more. In the day and age of just about every TV show being a copycat of every other TV show Lethal Weapon has done a good job taking the characters that the movies made famous and expanding upon them.

It's necessary to keep the slapstick between the characters that made the movies enjoyable while at the same time showing us how they might grow as partners and in their personal lives on a day-to-day basis which the series does well. Sure it's got lots of silly arguing. Sure it's got lots of silly car chases and shootings. So did the movies, and so do other action comedies. If you don't Want to watch that, then watch " The Good Doctor, or yet another tired season of a show that didn't know when enough is enough like " "once upon a time". Overall, this is one of my favorite new series within the last couple of years.

I have stopped watching.

Warning: Spoilers
Having watched #2.3 I shall watch no more episodes of this show.

It has gone from dumb to abysmal, it's embarrassing to watch.

Every week we are presented with a very vague plot riddled with holes, then Riggs having random monologue arguments with colleagues, his 5 minute pointless session with Maureen the flirty psychologist, then Murtaugh arguing in a high pitched voice with his wife -cue Keesha Sharp's whiter than white expensive teeth- about their children, then arguing with his children.

To fill the rest of the time around the adverts, a few dumb baddies are thrown in, the customary car chase with its inherent destruction, back projection and a bit of CGI if budget allows.

The 1970s final Season of McMillan which was pretty awful, was more watchable than this nonsense.
