Would have been a very good pilot episode.

This is a fairly good episode which basically introduced us - again - to the main characters. While enjoyable to watch the history behind the character development it felt more like a pilot episode than an addition to the series. If there were half stars this would have gotten 7.5.

Good but not well past

In this episode, we see the past of Lucifer. It is not that much entertaining but still worthy to watch despite of anything. 👍

Warning: Spoilers
This episode has all the appearances of being a flashback, to when Lucifer Morningstar first arrived in Los Angeles, with Amenadial endeavouring to take him back home with him.

Here Chloe Decker is still pounding the beat, trying to fulfil her lifelong ambition, and prove herself worthy of making detective.

Here we also see the first appearances of Mazikeen, and her relationship with Lucifer Morningstar.

Also making her initial appearance is the hot shot lawyer to the mob, Charlotte Richards although she is lying through her teeth to herself, about her knowledge of the clients true identities.

Not yer run-of-mill

First, the channel I've been watching this series on has had some really bad problems since the end of last month. All of their programmed movies and series have been unavailable and really, really, REALLY crappy music concerts and documentaries have been in place of the good stuff. I have been waiting for an eternity to get my Laura German/Tom Ellis fix and tonight, as though nothing ever happened, LUCIFER was back.

Flash back episodes are usually anvil throwing trashtaculars passed off when writers are on strike or there's some other problem. No anvils, no crapola, just a really good story that goes back to when Father has sent his favourite son to send back Lucifer to hell. With the exception of Linda Martin, everyone makes an appearance -- even Trixie via telephone, although unheard. Ah, right sorry, no Welling and no Ella

Great story-telling, all the usual points covered, beautiful women, drinking, the black corvette, some singing of Ch-ch-ch-changes, whipped cream -- sigh.

You'll enjoy this outing. But I'm not telling you any more. You'll have to wait for YOUR local station.

A bit too much retconning to my liking
Flippo920410 June 2021
This one takes place in the past, and it adds unnecessary context to character traits and origins. This didn't need to be made.

I'm starting to realise why this season is 26 episodes long.

Just a time filler!

Warning: Spoilers
I have no idea why did they decide to reintroduce all characters again. All characters were very well established through previous episodes. Casting more details on each character again is just a time filling that servers no purpose in the coming episodes.

Shoestring Budget?

Warning: Spoilers
This episode was more or less same same.. Then we get to the part when retrograde Lucifer+Ameniel need to interrogate a suspect/guy that they've abducted.. Well Lucifer goes about it bye summoning Mazikeen supposedly for the first time.. She shows up in the goofiest POS outfit possible.. Imagine a homemade halloween costume made up of a few pieces of old jacket leather, rubber straps and 80s rollerskate knee pads with something similar for her shoulders.. I have no clue what she was supposed to look like in said getup.. but Mazikeen sure did not look anything like my idea of Lucifer's Head Torture Demon.

I'd bet money that "talented" people would line up to make awesome leather outfits/armor for Mazikeen "Demon Torturer to Lucifer Morningstar".. Just to be noted for having done so..

Warning: Spoilers
Lucifer enjoys frolicking with women. He wears a bra and drizzles whipped cream on two women's chests. Amenadiel stops time and comes in. He asks Lucifer to go back because celestials do not belong with humanity.

Amenadiel waits outside for Lucifer to finish in ten minutes. He gets shot and the robber takes his necklace. Amenadiel comes back in and changes in front of everyone. He pulls on Lucifer's swim shorts and top.

Amenadiel makes a deal with Lucifer. Luci will help him find his necklace in exchange for a blank promise. Luci takes him to a garden party where there is a piano. Then Luci takes him to a porn filming site where women walk around in beautiful lingerie. The wife of the other man shot dead finds out from Amenadiel her husband is gone.

Chloe is an officer and walks to become a detective. Detective Espinoza is helping her become a detective. They both are on the case of the murder.

Amenadiel is mistaken for a wrestler and Lucifer pretends he is. Amenadiel trains in the gym and hilariously does everything effortlessly. He has to act he is using effort and is straining.

Lucifer gets angry Amenadiel calls him evil casually and goes into the ring instead of the human. Luci is declared the winner because the other gave up.

Luci and Amenadiel takes the killer (the gym's owner) in and demand for the necklace. They throw the owner back out on the beach where Chloe and Dan arrest him. Amenadiel has his necklace back as the killer said it is in the safe at the gym.

snorre_fjellvang21 November 2020
Lucy supposedly arived at the beach where, mazikeen cut of his wings. And in some previous episode he coments on Amandels human clothes like he is wearing it for the first time....
