This episode starts off great with Gumball searching for his name and finding all sorts of weird fanart on it. It's a good thing they didn't talk about some of the more disturbing fanart... Anyway, this episode features their step grandfather (that's a real term, right?) setting up an Elmore Plus account so Gumball and Darwin try to create a fake friend for him. It is kind of weird to hear Louie talk about being in a bad relationship with Granny Jojo. Then again, it does make more sense towards the end. I still love this episode because of the great part of the end.
It's just great to see Granny Jojo go insane with the funniest expression on her face (and body for that matter). I just love seeing her go nuts, especially when we see flashbacks with how utterly possessive she is. There are great jokes in these flashbacks. As usual, Gumball gets injured and so does Darwin for that manner. It was also pretty interesting to learn more about Louie's past. I thought that would be the bulk of this episode, but it wasn't. It's hard to tell given the surrealist nature of the show. ***1/2
