  Amaya Jiwe : This is all my fault. Ever since I lost my totem, the timeline must be starting to solidify. Which means, in this new reality, the totem was never passed down to her.

  Nate Heywood : So Mari is a vigilante without her totem.

• Amaya Jiwe : I have to go and talk to her.

  Nate Heywood : What? No, you cannot talk to your own granddaughter. That will cause...

  Amaya Jiwe : Unforseen consequences, I know, but how much worse can things truly get?

  Nate Heywood : Is that what you want, Amaya?

  Amaya Jiwe : I don't know, Nathaniel.

• Amaya Jiwe : There you are, Mick. You ready?

  Mick Rory : For what?

  Amaya Jiwe : Training. Do you remember? We spoke about learning to harness the powers of the totem.

  Mick Rory : Hmm. I got a new trick. Pull my finger.

  Amaya Jiwe : What?

  Mick Rory : Pull my finger.

  Zari Tomaz : Do not pull his finger. Let's just say hot dogs aren't the only thing he's learned how to light on fire.

• Amaya Jiwe : Sara put me in charge while she steps away.

  Nate Heywood : All the more reason why you should stay on the ship. Okay? I'll go to Detroit, and I'll talk to her.

  Wally West : And I'll, uh... I'll help him.

  Nate Heywood : Yeah. There's nothing this dynamic duo cannot do.

  Amaya Jiwe : Okay, fine. Just be careful.

• Wally West : Whoa, what is going on?

  Amaya Jiwe : Zari's training Rory. Or killing him.

• Amaya Jiwe : Kuasa. What are you doing here?

  Kuasa : [holding up her totem]  I come with a peace offering.

  Amaya Jiwe : How did you get that?

  Wally West : Wait, wh-where is Nate?

  Kuasa : I gave him to the Darhks in exchange for the totem.

  Wally West : That wasn't the plan!

  Amaya Jiwe : What plan?

  Wally West : Nate thought it'd be better not to tell you.

  Kuasa : Because you're in love with him, Nana Baa. And that love is a threat to both Mari and me.

  Amaya Jiwe : So you betrayed him?

  Kuasa : He's not my grandfather. Every moment that you spend with him is a threat to our entire family's future.

• Amaya Jiwe : How can you be so selfish?

  Kuasa : You're the selfish one. Our family's destruction looms in 1992. You promised you'd save us. And yet you continuously search for ways to abandon your family and Zambesi.

  Amaya Jiwe : I have done everything in my power to try and redeem you. And in doing so, Mari got hurt. She understands that being a totem bearer means protecting all people, not just our own. It's no wonder this totem ended up with Mari and not you. You're beyond redemption.

• Nora Darhk : Seems that you and Kuasa have resolved your family squabble. So much drama over a silly trinket. Pathetic.

  Vixen : I wouldn't expect you to understand anything about honor or legacy.

• Nate Heywood : If I had known that was gonna happen...

  Amaya Jiwe : It's not your fault.

  Nate Heywood : Still, I shouldn't have gone behind your back. And I shouldn't have tried to outsmart the Darhks on my own.

  Amaya Jiwe : You wanted me to have my totem back. And now I do.

  Nate Heywood : Come on, Amaya, just say it. I got Kuasa killed.

  Amaya Jiwe : I got my granddaughter killed.

  Nate Heywood : You? How?

  Amaya Jiwe : By goading her to be more like her sister. Kuasa wanted to prove that she was worthy of this. She died proving that I was wrong about her, by saving the life of a man who threatened her existence.

  Nate Heywood : Exactly, and if I didn't get captured, then Kuasa...

  Amaya Jiwe : Was doomed either way. I mean, that's how time works. Well, clearly, time wants my family to suffer.

  Amaya Jiwe : [in the jumpship]  Gideon, initalize the time drive and set a course.

  Gideon : Traveling to this time period is inadvisable. I'm sure Captain Lance would not allow it.

  Amaya Jiwe : Please, Gideon. I have to save my granddaughter. I have to save my family. And no one is going to stop me. Now lock in the coordinates.

  Gideon : Course set for the M'Changa province of Zambesi, 1992.
