Bingeworthy!

Warning: Spoilers
Really enjoyed this show, it had be interested enough for me to sign up for youtube red and binge the entire show in a day. I did find the structure of the show a bit too forced, as if some scenes weren't as naturally placed as others, I thought this was particularly present as Farrah walked out of the homecoming and she walked into her principal, friends, boyfriend+enemy, former best friend in a too perfectly timed manner, as if the audience hand was being help and slowly being told that her life had been flipped upside down, I understand that they had to explore each of those relationships but the way it was done felt off. Regardless I love the show, love the content, love Anna, praying for a second season!

Enjoyable and watchable show

Warning: Spoilers
It is like "Gossip Girl" meets "13reasons why". Since I liked both of said shows, this one is quite good as well. It's nothing hard to digest and the topics are rather shallow, but it's okay to watch it.

Is the acting the best? Well, most certainly not, but who expects an Oscar for that...

If you like teen-drama with secrets and "nerds vs. popular kids", this show is for you.

As a fan of Ann Akana I enjoyed it only one problem is 25-year-olds playing high schoolers you can't really do anything about it but its weird, Acting was fine, not amazing but good for a youtube red series i will definitely will watch season 2.

Big Anna Akana fan. The only down side to tho series is that we have to wait for a season 2 and there aren't enough episodes.

Craving for more

Honestly, when I watched the first episode, I wasn't too sure if I'd like it since it seemed a little too much for me with the dialogue since I didn't know any high school kid that talks like that, but I decided to watch another episode and I'm so glad I did. By the time I realized, I binge watched the whole series and I wanted MORE!! I watched the first episode again later, and I feel like it was a bit extra, but it definitely set the mood for this story. The only thing I'm upset about now is the fact that I can't watch season 2 yet. WHEN IS IT COMING OUT!? I need to see. It's a need, not a want.

Yes, it is THAT good.

I can honestly say after watching this show, it is worth a YouTubeRed subscription JUST for this show. Seriously. This show really is just much better than the trailers and previews makes it seem. This is NOT just a show for the teenage or young adult girl; it's a clever, modern commentary that touches on so many aspects of struggles young people face. Just the simple question of "Am I doing the right thing? As I a good person?" is really the one that every young person asks themselves at some point. Watch the entire season top to bottom and you won't find a single episode you dislike. I honestly can not recommend it enough. One of the BEST shows available right now and something I think will stand the test of time.

Warning: Spoilers
I'm a big fan of Anna Akana, I also think the entire cast is amazing, soundtrack was amazing, the central ideas and themes were amazing- but wasted by shallow writing. I really don't want to be harsh here, it was interesting enough to get me to watch the whole thing, but I struggled to focus, I ended up multi-tasking. I'm interested in watching a next season too, if they make one. However, my interest is mainly for Anna Akana and Sean Grandillo, they are wonderful actors and I think they've got good on screen chemistry.

My only issue with this show is the writing, but that makes up most of it, which is why I've given it a 5. Jason Ubaldi misses opportunities for mystery, suspense, sexual tension and in-depth exploration of characters. Everything is instantly paid off, serious issues that should have been main plot points were diluted and skimmed over after a few episodes. Some characters made seriously stupid and unnecessary decisions (I'm thinking of the end in particular, where was the need? There were many solutions to this problem- that wasn't one.) The show needed to do a lot more characterisation and plot exploration. There weren't really any consequences or problems that couldn't be fixed, until the end, but that'll get fixed in season 2 no doubt. It felt cluttered with different subplots but not one of them was explored to even half their potential.

There are also characters who make no sense. The show likes to tell us things and then show no evidence, or evidence to the contrary for these things. You can't have a gorgeous, talented, kind-hearted, charming social outcast who is supposedly rubbish with girls and, yet, is naked with one in episode one. His name may as well be Gary Stu- saying this I do like the character but he doesn't have to be labelled a social outcast, that's silly. Some subplots and characters are just completely forgotten about too, when I was expecting something to happen with them.

To summarise, if you're looking for a well written show with relatable characters that can make you laugh or cry, this isn't it. I recommend it if you're looking for something decent, with good acting that is easy to watch.

I think Jason Ubaldi should consider working with other writers who are skilled in suspense and could help him improve the show for season 2. The ideas are really good but there needs to be a build up. The characters are interesting but they need to be consistent with their main traits. If you are going to have a gorgeous, lovely, social outcast, he needs to have done something to destroy his reputation. If people are going to metaphorically throw themselves under a bus, they need to have exhausted all other options before doing so. Otherwise, the show just lacks sense and depth, and ends up feeling shallow.

Surprisingly Good
mhliang12 March 2018
When I first saw the trailer for this, I didn't know what to expect. It was my first YouTube Red experience, and my first taste of any of these actors. I watched the first two episodes (the free ones) and was hooked. I bought YouTube Red and binged almost all of the episodes (not the last one just yet). It just has something about it that grabs your attention and makes you want to watch it. Truthfully, yes it is a little unrealistic (actors age, and the fact that their NEVER in class) and the acting can be sub-par sometimes, but it's WORTH IT. Like I said in the title, it is surprisingly good.

IT'S ABSOLUTELY GOOD

I was totally enjoy watching this show, and now I addicted to it. It gave me many emotion as well as how life was. What I saying is not necessary like it give a whole bunch of life lesson in once because I knew it will get bored in a minute or so. But instead, they was expressed it through the acting in every episode, which personally, I loved it a lot. I never found a series like this one that make both level of enjoy and understanding at the same.
