I don't want to grow up. I'm a Toys "R" Us kid, but it seems ABC may have make some grownup decisions about whether The Tox Box TV show should be cancelled or renewed for season three. In its first two seasons, the winner of the toy design competition sold his or her creation exclusively at Toys "R" Us, in addition to receiving a $100,000 cash prize and a deal with Mattel. Now that the toy retailer is closing or selling off its 800 remaining U.S. stores, it is not clear that the Alphabet Network will still have the same incentive to renew the show. An ABC reality TV series hosted by Eric Stonestreet, The Toy Box features inventors presenting their toys to judges who are really on their game — actual kids. In the second season, Adi Ash (age...

Ratings-wise, the first season of The Toy Box TV show wasn't exactly all fun and games for ABC. Rather than cancelling this design competition though, the Alphabet Network is sending it back to school in season two, with (mostly) new kids on the judging panel -- and far fewer grownups to bring in the boredom. Is this just what the Nielsen playground monitor ordered? Will The Toy Box be cancelled or renewed for season three? Stay tuned. An ABC competitive reality series hosted by Eric Stonestreet, The Toy Box features inventors presenting their toys to judges who are really on their game -- actual kids. Adi Ash (age 10), Paxton Booth (age 7), Sydney Mae Estrella (age 9), Kyle Lee (age 7), Joachim Powell (age 11), Gideon Reynolds (age 6), Emma Sobel (age 9), Madison Stevens (age 8), and Olivia Trujillo (age 12) join...

It’s time to put “The Toy Box” away in the attic, ABC.
The “Shark Tank”-for-kids series again let the Disney broadcaster down, losing badly to its Big 4 competition at 7 p.m. “America’s Funniest Home Videos” and two hours of actual “Shark Tank” didn’t exactly light the world on fire, either.
NBC comfortably won Sunday in the key 18-49 demographic, though CBS is currently averaging more overall viewers. The below Nielsen numbers are subject to some adjustment for both networks, however, due to the nature of live sports.

Eric Stonestreet can't catch a break. Ellen DeGeneres got the last laugh on Tuesday when she had the Modern Family star on set for an interview about his hosting a new show, The Toy Box. Stonestreet, who is no stranger to the daytime talk show, has been scared a handful of previous times by DeGeneres' signature pranks. He wrongly assumed the host was going to leave him alone this time around, but as we all suspected, he was entirely mistaken. "I promised him I wouldn't scare him again because we scare him every single time," DeGeneres told her audience. However, while she was "backstage playing ping pong," Stonestreet was in a dressing room preparing for the show. While...
