Not bad but not good as expected

First of all - this is film created from TV series, so it's not movie as many expected it is. Too many things are missing, especially in the beginning, probably those scenes are going to be included in the TV series. Also, there are some goofs which are so clear when you watch on big screen in cinema. Scenes in the end with Santa Maria Della Salute church exterior are so amateur that they look as that they are created with some home video editing software. Also scenes with Laza dreaming of Lenka are ridiculous how they look like. Suma sum-arum - not bad for TV series but definitely not for cinema. Music is excellent, acting is very good, story not bad, beside it's not 100% historically accurate. I gave rating mark 7 as some general impression but if I would have to rate it strictly as cinema movie impression it would be about 3...

Unacceptable

Warning: Spoilers
I watched this movie on the premiere day in Novi Sad - Serbia in which lots of scenes are filmed. I really don't know where to start because lots of things in this movie are really bad. First of all the main actor doesn't age even a bit even tho the events happen in time span of 20 years. Actors tried to copy accent of natives in Vojvodina (part of Serbia) and they failed so much that audience in cinema laughed every five minutes. Father of Lenka Dundjerski doesn't change his face expression one single time in the whole movie. Cuts in montage are really awful and I have no idea if any of crew members that worked on this movie even read a single movie making book. The events happened in multiple cities and you can't even figure out how, when or why did they "travel". You can see that the dialogues are badly synchronized and it even happened that we hear conversation even tho they aren't even opening their mouth. They used slang words that didn't even exist in the time the real life events that movie was based on happened. I have no comment for scriptwriter because dialogues and narrations can make you puke. Ending is the worst thing I ever seen and it's pretty much impossible to fu*k up the story that is by itself very emotional because it's as i already mentioned based on real life events that are important for Serbian history. For me this is the end of Zdravko Sotra's career as movie Director and i'll watch his movie next time only when I want to see how NOT to make it.

P.S Read history books to find out what and how happened between Laza Kostic and Lenka Dundjerski. Than you will realize why this movie is wrong on so many levels.
