When in London, Nova states that one of the Sharknadoes is headed for --Big Ben. "Big Ben" refers only to the large bell in the famous Westminster clock tower. It is not the name of the area (which is the 'City of Westminster') nor the clock tower (which is currently called the 'Elizabeth Tower').

In reality, Sydney's Opera House doesn't have a defence system and the famous London Eye (ferris wheel) doesn't have a hidden weapon. This is all just played for laughs and sci-fi depiction.

Sharks are highly 'demonized' in this film series. Yet, in one scene, they barely want to attack Fin, April and Nova when they're in the middle of the water.
A few times, the characters Fin, April and Nova go into a sharknadoes to get into a vortex, that is an extremely risky thing to do, the storms cause many fatalities.
