- The strongest scene shows a high-school girl performing fellatio on a group of older, perhaps college-age guys. We see, from behind, her head thrusting at groin level and hear sucking sounds. The penises of two guys waiting to take their turn are clearly seen for a couple of seconds each. This sequence lasts a minute or more.
- Two scenes of male/female coitus occur, the first with her riding him, the second with them leaning against a wall. Both show visible action but are relatively brief. Both characters' butts are briefly visible in the first scene, otherwise there's no nudity.
- A girl asks an older man to have sex, and we see them on a hotel bed conversing awkwardly.
- A girl mentions that her boyfriend goes down on her, and is later seen using a pregnancy test.
- There are a couple of fleeting side views of a breast as a girl changes clothes. We see her in panties and tee-shirt occasionally. Guys are seen in briefs once or twice.
- Shown from behind, two girls on an overpass flash their breasts to traffic below; we see no nudity.
- Two girls kiss quickly once, and we see a couple of questioning glances, but nothing more comes of this.
- There are two brief scenes showing graphic hardcore sex scenes on a laptop. The first scene shows a woman performing fellatio on two men with erect penises visible. The scene lasts for approx. three seconds. The second scene shows a man penetrating a woman. The erect penis is visible. The scene lasts for approx. three seconds.
Violence & Gore

- A character is slapped once. Two other characters are punched once and fall down.
- A character's pants are removed by force.
- A character cuts across their forearm with a large knife. A little blood is seen afterward.
- Blood is visible in several other scenes: a spot in panties from first menses; from knees skinned in a fall; and from surgery on toes and legs where we also see the beginning incisions.
- We see vomit ejected and pooling very briefly several times.
- We see raw live fish eaten. A classroom scene shows actual partial dissection of a fish with the removal of body parts.
- Changes to a character's physiology are depicted with discolored skin; attempts to deal with this result in some blood, goo, and gore. Most of these scenes are darkly lit and not dwelled on for long times, but they become increasingly intense.
Profanity

- On multiple occasions the teens party hard, drinking to the point of puking and passing out. The drug Ecstasy is added to drinks.
- An adult woman's medications include bottles of appetite suppressants, hormones, and anxiety meds such as Valium.
- Teen smoking is frequent, bordering on pervasive. A doobie is mentioned once. A guy and girl share a "smoke kiss."
Frightening & Intense Scenes

- Two characters engage in dangerous imitable behavior, hyperventilating then allowing oneself to be choked until one passes out.
- A girl begins to drown.
- The mental stress experienced by one character due to physical changes is intense, particularly when the process is complete.
