A great conclusion.

Strike and Robin continue to search for the killer, the pair discover that there are several things that don't add up with Bombyx Mori, the hunt for the killer is on.

The Silkworm is a more complex story than The Cuckoo's calling, on first watch I didn't fully understand all of what was happening, however, on this second viewing, I concentrated, and feel thoroughly rewarded for doing so, it's another captivating watch.

Well paced, energetic, intriguing, and incredibly stylish, but unlike many shows, there is style and substance here, it looks amazing. The scene of the party looks fabulous, with Strike and Robin both looking tremendous.

The ending is a very dramatic one, one to definitely catch your attention.

Another insight into the personal and private life of the main man, we get to see his brother here for the first time.

Lia Williams and Monica Dolan both incredible again.

Loved it, 9/10.

The Silkworm: Parts 1 & 2

In the second story, things are looking up for private investigator Cormoran Strike. He has more work and money. He is approached by an odd woman just to make phone call to locate her missing husband. When the phone call does not lead to anything Leonora Quine ask him to locate her missing husband Owen Quine, a novelist.

Strike finds that not a lot of people liked him and he had written a manuscript that was a thinly disguised assault on people he knew. Strike finds his body, his gruesome death also mirroring the death that took place in the manuscript.

There is no doubt that the production design and art direction is top notch. There is a drinks party scene with the London Eye as a backdrop which would had been expensive to mount. The story was just a little too slow paced for me.
