Also in this episode trainee Ryan backs the buggy to far into the water when real easing the jet ski into the water and gets the weeks stuck in the sand. He is unable to get them in and has to ask for help from lifeguard Mouse. He helps and so does off duty lifeguard a happy who happens to be at the beach. With help off volunteers and lifeguards the buggy is salvaged all though it has to go to the mechanics to be fixed. Harries is the one in control of the vehicles at the beach (jet skis, buggies etc.) When the buggy is taken alway Ryan has time to redeem himself when a person gets stuck in the rip and unable to escape it's strong currents. It's a textbook rescue as he paddles out collects the patient on his board and swims them safely back to shore. This helps him to redeem himself after wrecking the buggies wheels earlier on in the day.
