Shemar Moore in S.W.A.T. (2017)

Edit

Factual errors

In this series they frequently referred to the forensic investigators as CSI's (Crime Scene Investigators) when in Los Angeles they are actually referred to as SID's (Scientific Investigation Division).
Multiple times throughout the series, when helicopters are utilized and fast roping is executed, the helicopters are seen leaving with the ropes still attached. Not only is this a Operational safety violation but it it can be a potentially catastrophic one. The one reason is, ropes ensnaring the rotors and causing catastrophic damages to them causing a crash. No helicopter ever leaves ropes dangling after a fast rope scenario for this reason.
Throughout the series, we often see only Hondo's SWAT team responding to incidents where the police would be sending multiple SWAT units.
The ballistic helmets the actors are wearing are clearly plastic bump helmets. The way they reflect light is not consistent with how Kevlar ballistic material would reflect light.
On-screen, it seems that blue laser sights are attached to the LAPD issued rifles. The only visible colors used on laser sights are red or green.

Miscellaneous

The series is about the life of a SWAT team that deliberately misses out on the work of the Crisis Negotiation team, who in real life would be on the scene to negotiate with armed perpetrators to get them to surrender without anyone getting hurt.
