Worth Watching for Carradine Fans
The Other Dracula - The Vampire Films of John Carradine (2016)
*** (out of 4)
This seven-minute short takes a look at the vampire films that John Carradine appeared in. These include HOUSE OF FRANKENSTEIN, HOUSE OF Dracula, BILLY THE KID VS Dracula, BLOOD OF DRACULA'S CASTLE, NOCTURNA, VAMPIRE HOOKERS and LAS VAMPIRAS.
Ted Newsom directed this short documentary and takes trailer footage as well as some archival narration from Christopher Lee to help show off the films that Carradine made. We also get to hear from John Carradine as several different interview clips are used to have him discuss some of these movies and roles.
If you're a fan of Carradine then this is certainly worth watching as it's at least fun to watch these movie clips. People seem to forget Carradine when it comes to his Dracula role as Lugosi and Lee are the Kings but it's clear that the Shakesperean actor appeared in several of them, although they were certainly more towards the campy side.
