I Thought You'd Be Bigger: The Making of 'Road House' (2016)

*** 1/2 (out of 4)

Director Rowdy Herrington, editor Frank Urioste, cinematographer Dean Cundey and actors Kelly Lynch, Marshall Teague, Julie Michaels, Red West, Kevin Tighe and John Doe are among the people interviewed for this sixty-five minute documentary on the making of the cult classic ROAD HOUSE.

If you're a fan of the film then you'll certainly want to check this out as there's a great bit of detail given about the production of the movie. This includes how producer Joel Silver got involved as well as why Cundey wanted to do the picture. We then get into the casting of the picture and everyone shares their thoughts on what type of movie they were making. At just over a hour you're going to get all sorts of great stories including many on Patrick Swayze and Sam Elliott. The fights in the film are discussed as well as the original running time and we also hear about a major subplot that was completely taken out of the movie.
