Final appearance for commentator Leonard F. Chikarason (Joseph R. Sposto) until Chikara: Aniversario - Heroes Shed No Tears (2018) on May 26, 2018.
During the "Juke Joint" Lucas Calhoun-Chuck Taylor TM match, Calhoun tied up Taylor in the ropes and led a conga line of wrestlers, announcers, and fans all chopping Taylor. Earlier in the match, in re Calhoun's wrestling Elvis Impersonator gimmick, Taylor quoted a toned-down version of a lyric from Public Enemy's "Fight the Power," saying, "Elvis don't mean nothing to me." The actual lyric is, "Elvis was a hero to most but he never meant shit to me," which would not be considered acceptable in CHIKARA. This match is why "wackiness" is listed as a keyword.
The Devastation Corporation (Blaster McMassive (Thomas Stintsman) and Flex Rumblecrunch (Sean Burke)) were the first team to enter the Tag Team Gauntlet. Before N_R_G could enter, the Corporation's former manager Sidney Bakabella (Joey Eastman) confronted them and told them that they needed to talk. Bakabella said that they were former Campeones de Parejas and former King of Trios, and that they were relegated to the Gauntlet because they had lost their killer instinct. This was followed by their former teammate Max Smashmaster (Sebastian Reese) hitting a Tombstone Piledriver on Rumblecrunch. That made them easy prey for N_R_G (Hype Rockwell and "The Generator" Race Jaxon), who, despite being tecnicos (faces/good guys), were booed for eliminating the Corporation. This was Blaster McMassive's final appearance in CHIKARA.
The tournament final was Team Sendai Girls (Cassandra Miyagi, DASH Chisako (Chisako Jumonji) and Meiko Satomura) defeating Team JWP (Command Bolshoi, Hanako Nakamori and Manami Katsu), making it the first-ever all-female tournament final in CHIKARA history and making Team Sendai Girls the first-ever Queen of Trios.
