Perhaps it will turn out that Gabrielle Durand is only pretending to be a nanny. If not, they definitely have her character wrong.

Haitians speak something that from a distance sounds like French, but with most individual words being incomprehensible to someone from France.

This nanny speaks perfect Parisian French, as spoken by the well educated, rich, upper class Haitians, not by the common working class people. As such, not only would she never consider working as a nanny, she'd almost certainly speak English better than most Americans do.

Even worse, her absolute lack of knowledge of any English words whatsoever is quite unbelievable in today's world.
