Normally I wouldn't leave a review for an episode of a TV show, but I have to say, these two episodes are rare late-SpongeBob gems; especially Bulletin Board.
The first one, Sandy's Nutmare is about Sandy making a special peanut butter with the nuts from her tree. Everyone in Bikini Bottom LOVES it (especially Patrick) so she abuses her tree with growth chemicals to make even more. Eventually, a shaman learns of this and tells her to lay off the peanut butter and tells her a story. She realizes what she's done, and stops using the growth chemicals. It's a very funny episode, has a decent message, and is one of the best Sandy episodes. 9/10
Now, Bulletin Board is even better; probably one of the best SpongeBob episodes. It revolves around Mr. Krabs putting up a community Bulletin Board so the Krusty Krab customers can share their thoughts. (Much like the Internet... hint hint) At first, everyone only says nice things and they encourage Pearl when she puts up a drawing she made. But when Mr Krabs starts charging for the board, more and more people start to use it. One day, an anonymous user named P-Star 7 puts up a rude post and everyone is shocked. Bubble Bass claims he's using freedom of speech and his post cannot be taken down just because it upset SpongeBob. Later, more and more people start to put up more honest, critical posts on the board as P-Star 7 continues to leave mean posts. What's genius about this is how clearly it represents the modern Internet, with the rise in criticism, insults, and people just expressing the worst side of themselves. So eventually, Mr Krabs realizes the board is only doing harm because of P-Star, so they have a stakeout to see who it is... and it's Patrick. His posts were misinterpreted, not meant to be offensive. So Mr Krabs gets fed up and tears down the Bulletin Board.
The reason I love this episode so much is the obvious connection to the Internet. Much like The Amazing World of Gumball, it accurately describes the Internet PERFECTLY. Overall, this episode is amazing and has a really good message and is one of the few SpongeBob episodes in the newer seasons that I enjoyed throughly. 10/10.
