WUSSTEST DU SCHON:
- WissenswertesMon-El mentions speaking to a Durlan ambassador. In the comics, Durlans are a species with the power of shape-shifting. In the 31st century, a Durlan with the code name "Chameleon Boy" serves alongside Mon-El in the Legion of Superheroes.
- PatzerMon-El goes on about "Romeo and Juliet" as a happy love story, until Kara tells him he hasn't reached the ending yet, However, the very beginning of the play describes Romeo and Juliet as a pair of star-crossed lovers who take their lives, but at least their death marks the end of a bloody feud between their two families.
- Zitate
Winn Schott: Uh, I'm here to rescue you. Hi.
Mon-El: Aren't you a little short for a stormtrooper?
Winn Schott: You finally saw "Star Wars"!

Romeo & Juliet
Kevin Smith episodes are always interesting. In the 4 or 5 CW episodes he has directed, his divisive style hasn't overshadowed the storytelling. Tonight's Supergirl was a prime case of an episode unsure whether it wants to be big and bold, or crumble into forgettable filler episode territory.
Should we expect Mon-El's mother and other Daxumite's to be the big bad's of season 2 now? I really thought we were heading in the direction of Luthor v Danvers this season, but with how this episode ends, I can only assume we will see Rhea back again by season's end. Tonight, she put a bounty on Supergirl as she is the only thing in the way of bringing Mon-El back to Daxum. It wasn't the most eventful episode, but it had some fun moments. Luckily, we got a more mature and diminished take on the Kara-Mon romance. Sometimes less is more.
Speaking of romance, Alex & Maggie had their weekly fight as the ladder kept the fact that she cheated on an ex-girlfriend from her. Again, these fights are trivial at best. In fact, I don't think anyone has to worry about this relationship going anywhere anytime soon. If the writers listen to the fans at all, this is one thing they shouldn't touch. But it is nice to see characters deal with real human issues in a mature way. I feel like I always find myself comparing this relationship with Supergirl & Mon-El's, but seriously, there's a massive gap in quality.
So as the conflict with Rhea progressed, it became clear to me that the president was working with her in some capacity. We know she's an alien from a previous episode, but why she be so persistent on keeping Jonn away from them? So, perhaps this could be an area where we get some movement on this season's big bad. After all, we did get an ominous message from her about Jonn's potential punishment for his actions tonight.
As a whole this episode didn't make any major changes in the dynamic this season, but it provided entertainment through the action and romances nonetheless. Hopefully, we can have a clearer indication about where this season is going relatively soon.
+Sanvers
+Solid action
-Still no progress made in big bad department
