Goofs

The Wide Window: Part One

A Series of Unfortunate Events

Edit

Continuity

When the Baudelaires were eating the hot soup, Sunny's bowl was on her high chair, the next scene, the bowl moved to the table.

Factual errors

The code is a simple 26 letters to 26 numbers code. "You can't lock up the barn after the horses are gone." would be 25 15 21 / 3 1 14 20 / 12 15 3 11 / 21 16 / 20 8 5 / 2 1 18 14 / 1 6 20 5 18 / 20 8 5 / 8 15 18 19 5 19 / 1 18 5 / 7 15 14 5. With the errors, the code spells out "you can't lock up nhe barn afner nhe horses are gone."

Crew or equipment visible

When the taxi driver is closing the trunk of his car when they arrive at Aunt Josephine's home, you can clearly see his lav mic attached to his pants.

Character error

It is odd for AUNT JOSEPHINE, a strict grammarian, to offer, "I never cook anything hot," as it is a redundancy. If something is cooked, it is, by definition, something that has been heated.
