Good but...

A funny and interesting episode but it kinda feels out of place. Without bojack grounding the show with emotion every episode, the premise seemed rather silly and an episode that would feel better in a show like southpark. Don't get me wrong, it was an entertaining episode, just not one that you might expect from this sensational show

First time someone needs BoJack not Bojack needs someone which is pretty nice turn.

Search for Bojack

Warning: Spoilers
In the entire episode i was searching for bojack, like he will come at any moment but the whole episode is focused on peanutbutter which is also nice as if you are watching the fourth season you have a better idea of every charecter. Overall the episode is good and creates more curiosity where bojack is as diane is continuously leaving voicemails to him.

Kicks off the season with some entertaining light satire
snoozejonc30 March 2024
Mr Peanutbutter runs for governor of California.

This is an enjoyable yet unremarkable start to the fourth season.

BoJack is conspicuously absent as we witness the shenanigans associated with Mr Peanutbutter's election campaign. This includes lots of fairly silly political satire that works pretty well. The plot is outrageously OTT as you would expect, but the writers use characters like Mr Peanutbutter, Diane and Todd well and keep you guessing what will happen until the end. That being said, it is only moderately funny to me, but others might feel different.

Importantly there is a serious messages about the type of person the masses are willing to support when they have a platform to draw attention. This is as relevant today as it was on first release.

Not the best episode but an important one

Warning: Spoilers
This episode is good in various aspects

The first aspect is apparent in the first scene, when we can see the very beginning of Mr. Peanutbutter's career, and resumed later in the episode when Mr. Peanutbutter finally realizes that he needs to be talented, in addition to being likeable.

The second aspect is played in the background when Diane kept trying to talk to Bojack. For the first time in the show we finally get an episode that someone needs Bojack rather than the opposite.

And how can we not mention Todd. In this episode we get a deep insight into the character of Todd and his self expression. Todd is a simple guy and when someone wants to label him it makes him confused. He tends to escape these situations (While he didn't throw the controller on purpose, rather it was done subconsciously as a defense mechanism).

Conclusively , I really love how this season opens with a focus on the other characters instead of Bojack and we get a long awaited view on how the life of the main characters will look without Bojack.
