British indie is as it sounds

Warning: Spoilers
THE DEMONIC DOLL is a British indie horror flick about a young woman called Rose, who comes across as something of a hippy, who buys a doll online which turns out to be cursed. It's a slow-moving but mildly engaging tale which is a bit better than most thanks to the solid lead performance from Jennie Fox, who is much better than most actresses you see in this genre of filmmaking. There's too little incident for it to be any good, but at least it isn't the pits.

Another Mansfield Production

Warning: Spoilers
I can't say for certain or not, but it certainly seems that Richard and Daniel Mansfield are using the evil entity, "Mr. Sheets", in all or most of their productions.

"Mr. Sheets" is the antagonist in the Mansfields' "The Demonic Tapes", and the sequel, "The Demonic Tapes 2", and it is markedly similar to the evil entity in the Richard Mansfield productions, "The Investigation: A Haunting in Sherwood", "The House in Sherwood", and "The Mansfield Ghost". The entity in all five films has the same raspy, choking voice, and the same sinister laugh. It also has pretty much the same appearance, that being a dark, man-like figure under a gauzy white sheet. If this isn't the same entity in all five films, the Mansfields may want to try something a bit different, or entirely new, in their next film.

There is a sixth film offered by the Mansfields, bt it doesn't seem to be directly connected to the five mentioned in this review. The actress, Kathryn Redwood, appears in this sixth film and in "The House in Sherwood", but she plays two entirely different characters, and the evil entity in this sixth film is quite different from "Mr. Sheets".

Of the 6 Mansfield produced films that I've seen, "The Investigation: A House is Sherwood" was the best, and the immediate sequel, "A House in Sherwood", was the worst. These two films, and the third in the trilogy, "The Mansfield Ghost", all take place in the same setting.

These aren't the best horror movies that I've ever seen, but they aren't the worst, either. That having been said, the Mansfields might wish to consider other plots or storyline just to change things up a bit.

The Demonic Tapes 2 : The Doll

Watched what I assume is the movie under a different title of 'The Demonic Tapes 2 : The Doll' so am not sure if the movie title is right on IMDB or not.

-2 For some pretty uninspiring story, dialogue and cheesy effects.

-1 For Complete lack of originality.

It may be a low budget film and it certainly shows it.

What a pan floater

Warning: Spoilers
I just sat through this movie and oh man oh man. The best actor in the film is the doll. It says nothing and mysteriously moves around the house. And the guy in the sheet, Mr Sheets, another award winning performance there.

In all seriousness though this film is not creepy; it has no nudity; it has no gore and the inverted cross in the kitchen is just lame. The voice on the tape is just a thrash metal singer.

And watch out for the minister his acting was so real.

I hang my head in shame being from these fair isles.....that we churn out this smelly stinker.
