"Clean Sheets" is a British live action short film from 2016 written and directed by Robin Mason. Now he is not a rookie, but also not too experienced really. Same is true about his lead actress Jenny Boyd. Supporting players Duff (at the end) and Shaw (at the beginning) are way more prolific and maybe somebody will even recognize their faces. This short here runs for 6 minutes plus another 30 seconds of closing credits. It is the story of a young attractive cleaning lady, who comes to work, is instructed by the woman of the house and eventually feels more home at this place than it is appropriate for her job you can say. This invoves music, clothes, champagne and especially the ending. Still it is a bit of an open ending sort of, even if you can guess what will happen next. It was fun for him, but the kiss kinda indicates that he wants her gone out of his "paradise" and return back to normal. Or will he maybe even leaves his wife for her. Does she even want him. Probably it's the money she wants more. A lot to speculate and guess here. Still, not really a particularly good film. The music is still the best aspect, the song we hear during the film and also during the end credits I mean with that obviously. Story-wise it was a bit thin and I am also not sure if it was realistic. I mean it says a lot that this was far from your average housekeeping day and still it did not feel particularly interesting at all. So I give this film a thumbs-down all in all. Not a failure, but far from the level where I would want to watch it again or check out other works by the director. The only thing memorable stays the song I mentioned and the protagonist's really nice looks. Not enough. Watch something else instead.
