The comedy segment is Carnac the Magnificent. Carl Reiner first reads an article about a psychologist who recommends that people watch how Johnny handles guests to learn how to make conversation. He then talks about the changes that have come with aging. Next, he talks about a screenplay "Alias Nobody" he wrote about an aging actor, suggesting that Johnny could play the role. He suggests that Johnny would have to shave his head (the character is bald) and work for low wages. Then they talk about how eyesight changes with age, though Johnny has not had any such problem yet. Johnny first asks Catherine Deneuve about aging, and then they discuss men and women. She talks briefly about "The Last Metro", and then Johnny asks about differences in movie-going between Europe and the U.S., such as the lack of candy and eating in Europe. Johnny asks how she would feel if her son wanted to go into acting. He then asks why she wanted to become an actress, and she says she didn't; she got into it because of her sister. Johnny also asks what she will do when she stops acting, but Reiner interjects that she should not stop. Finally Johnny asks about a statement she made about not taking roles that are older than she is, and she explains that she would want a good reason to take such a part.
